Our premium welding consumables were successfully utilized in the construction of the iconic Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge. To commemorate this monumental milestone and passionately respond to the national call to "learn from major engineering and align with advanced quality," the factory officially launched the "Bridge Brand" trademark in 1958, initiating a legendary legacy of reliability.
Demonstrating pioneering R&D capabilities, our technical team innovatively utilized domestic reduced ilmenite to replace imported rutile. This major breakthrough completely eliminated dependence on foreign raw materials, significantly securing our production autonomy and embedding an independent, innovative gene into our corporate culture.
Bridge Brand made history as the very first enterprise in China's welding consumable industry to seek and successfully obtain the prestigious Lloyd's Register (LR) certification. Continuously redefining the pinnacle of industrial quality, our flagship welding electrodes achieved supreme national recognition. Our J421 and THJ422 electrodes were honored with the National Quality Silver Medal in 1980, followed by the highly coveted National Quality Silver Golden Medal in 1982.
Bridge Brand became the first pioneer in the industry to secure the legendary "Seven-Nation Certification" from premier global maritime authorities, including ABS, BV, CCS, DNV, GL, LR, and NK. A historic milestone was achieved in 1987 with the successful launch of the inaugural Beijing Essen Welding & Cutting Fair, co-organized by Chinese and German authorities. Participating alongside premier international exhibitors, Tianjin Welding Electrode Factory (the predecessor of Bridge Brand) was officially invited to showcase its elite products as the distinguished holder of the industry's only National Quality Gold Medal. This high-profile debut on what would become one of the world's top two welding exhibitions firmly established our brand's benchmark quality within the global industrial community.
Bridge Brand made history as the very first enterprise in China's welding consumable industry to be granted self-support import and export rights. Capitalizing on rapid growth, Tianjin Bridge Dasi Welding Electrode Factory was established in 1989, followed by the formal inception of Tianjin Bridge Group in 1992. Driven by a visionary nationwide layout, the founding of Tianjin Bridge Yinchuan Welding Electrode Co., Ltd. in 1997 officially unlocked our strategic expansion into the vast Northwest market.
A historical turning point was achieved as Tianjin Bridge Welding Materials Group Co., Ltd. successfully underwent a comprehensive corporate reorganization. This pivotal transition established a modernized corporate governance structure, optimizing our resource allocation and injecting powerful, long-term momentum into the Group’s internationalized development.
Entering the new millennium, Bridge Brand experienced an explosive growth phase, integrating high-tech production lines for flux-cored wires, solid wires, and sub-arc fluxes. By setting up state-of-the-art manufacturing plants in Tianjin, Yinchuan, Xinjiang, Hunan Hengyang, and Jiangsu, we built a formidable manufacturing network capable of rapidly responding to global demands.
In 2012, Bridge Brand reached a major milestone by achieving the prestigious "Chinese Mechanical Industry Premium Brands" recognition. Following this success, a massive, modern industrial park was completed in 2013 alongside the establishment of Tianjin Bridge Welding Materials Technology Co., Ltd. (Welding Flux Factory), significantly expanding our product portfolio into high-efficiency welding fluxes and scaling up our comprehensive manufacturing capabilities.
During this milestone era, our R&D hub was designated as a National-Level Enterprise Technical Center, and our flux-cored wire division won the Key Hi-Tech Enterprise of the National Torch Plan.
